SBYC offers junior memberships to juniors of club members. The junior memberships are meant to foster friendships and fun for our SBYC junior members. It’s a great way to have fun at the club with friends as well as with your family members. You will receive a junior member tee shirt once you have registered and paid the junior dues, unless you opt not to get a tee shirt. Junior activities include swimming lessons, tennis instruction, free lunches and a full summer of recreational activities both on and off club grounds. To complete this registration your child must already be entered into the club express database and paid junior dues. If your child has not been added to the database, please contact our club office.
Note per SBYC By-Laws: A Junior member shall be an individual not less than age seven nor more than 18 years of age on May 31 whose parent(s), grandparent(s), or guardian(s) are Senior Active members of the Club. A Junior member shall have the privileges and use of the facilities of the Club as defined and posted by the Board of Governors before the opening date each year.
Each child in your family will need to be registered separately.

Grandparents/Aunt/Uncle Sponsor:
• You, the Sponsor, will be the main contact for the Sponsored Family Junior.
Parents of a Sponsored Family Junior:
• The Sponsored Family Junior’s parents are not Club Members and, as such, have only the right to access Club grounds and Club activities during Junior Sailing, Junior Activities or as outlined in the House Rules for guests.
• Parents of a Sponsored Family Junior may have access to the Club grounds in the vicinity of the Junior activity. The docks are not to be accessed, unless supporting a Junior activity or accompanied by a Senior Club Member.
• Access to Club grounds for parents of a Sponsored Family Junior when their Junior is not participating in Junior sailing or Junior activities is not permitted, unless accompanied by a Senior Club Member.
• Parents of a Sponsored Family Junior and immediate family are invited to participate in Junior Activities and fundraisers including Family Night, Pot Luck Supper, Annual Pancake Breakfast and Annual Spaghetti Dinner or Ice Cream Social and Awards.
• Attendance by the Parents of Sponsored Family Juniors at Senior Entertainment events or activities sponsored by other Club programs is per the House Rules for guests.
• Additional program rules and guidelines are outlined in the SBYC Junior Sailing and Activities Program Handbook and SBYC House Rules. A copy of each can be found under the Parent Information tab on the Junior drop-down menu.
